Artwork Description

Mixed Media on stretched canvas, ready to hang.

Signed certificate of authenticity.

Inspired by walking along the Main Yarra Trail in Tikalara Park, I wanted to capture the rich golden colour of the grasses at the time. It’s lovely walking along and listening and watching all the life that darts about almost unnoticed. Then you see an eastern rosella popping its head from a hole in a tree, crickets jumping about, the skinks trying to find somewhere to sun themselves, eastern grey kangaroos sunning themselves in the distance, the bark falling from the trees, ... Before you know it, you have let go of worries and problems and soaked up the wonders of nature … mmm time to shed some of those negative thoughts and leave them behind with the fallen leaves and bark.
