French Provincial

By Janni Fewster

About this Curation

Originating in rural France, the provincial style was a stripped back. An affordable interpretation of the elaborate furnishings of the bourgeoisie in Paris. Retaining the grace of Parisian mansions but opting for simpler, functional furniture and decor, French Provincial styling uses a muted colour palette and rustic materials common in Southern France like timber, stone, wrought iron and plaster. I hope you enjoy my curation of wonderful artworks which fit within this style.
