About this Curation

As Picasso put it, “an artist paints not what you see, but what you know is there”. Still life creations inspire life beyond the ordinary, they show us the beauty within transient objects. Once arranged then captured with a brush, paint, ink, or any other medium - the objects take on a whole new energy.

About the Curator

Janni is bluethumb’s in-house curator, she knows our artists and their art like the back of her hand. Being an artist herself she has an even greater appreciation of other artists’ creations. Career highlights include curating exhibition Icons Uncovered, also at SALA festival, Melbourne Fringe and Midsumma. Janni has an eye for artworks that compliment each other and has curated many private collections.
