Beauty After the Fire is a powerful and emotional abstract artwork by Carolyne Jane, inspired by a recent trip to the Grampians after the bushfires. Seeing the damage caused by the fires was overwhelming, but at the same time, there was a deep sense of beauty in how the land stood strong and began to heal. The rich, bold colours in the landscape—burnt reds, glowing ochres, pink rusts, and soft browns—were so striking that they sparked a whole new series of paintings capturing the beauty that can come after destruction. In this piece, Carolyne paints the famous Grampian rock formation standing tall like a quiet guardian. Around it, the burnt trees are shown in warm earthy tones, still beautiful even before regrowth begins. Blackened fragments of charred wood are scattered through the scene, reminding us of what has been lost. But above it all, a soft pale blue sky with gentle white clouds brings a sense of peace and hope, adding balance and calm. Beauty After the Fires is a gentle yet powerful tribute to nature’s strength and quiet beauty in the face of hardship. The canvas is an original piece and comes with d rings and wire ready to hang.
