How many times in our lives we have been waiting for someone to call, for something to happen... something that would change our life, but it didn’t.

Don’t call me. I’ll call you is about taking the responsibility for our lives. The women in my painting is not waiting for anything to happen. She knows, that she is the one who creates her space, the only one who can change anything. In that moment she is enjoying the afternoon’s sun, charging her batteries like the lizard, taking her time. As much time as she needs.

And when she is ready, she will call, she will knock on the right door, or she will do nothing if she doesn’t feel like it. But she won’t be waiting.
