The Grevy’s Zebra is the largest and rarest of the three subspecies of zebra. What sets it apart is the unique design of patterns that make up its coat. If you look closely, the Mountain Zebra and Common (or Burchell’s) Zebra have thicker black stripes, while the latter has thin stripes that break up the arrangement.
This intense moment between predator and prey exemplifies life on the African plains. The zebra has been singled out by two lionesses, who do most of the hunting in their lion pride. They will work together to chase down their prey and take it down.
This painting is framed with a high-quality wood frame, and is varnished.
