This drawing on fine cartridge paper, was completed at the Queensland Museum from a mounted study specimen. Yellow-tailed Black Cockatoos are found around Brisbane and up the Queensland coast, though they are often heard before they are seen. In my experience, they tend to fly high above the treetops and seldom offer the opportunity to observe them closely.
