This is one of my earlier portrait paintings of a woman by the sea. The scene is moody and Annabelle's look is piercing. The day started with beautiful blue skies but ended in storm clouds.
I was inspired by the whimsical style of artists such as Amy Judd and Kris Lewis and decided to create a composition that was romantic and also a challenge for the viewer. Is the subject of this piece timid, scared or in trouble?
