Artwork Description

Oil on canvas, stretched and ready to hang.

Signed on the front.

This artwork has been created in a long series of painting sessions, where oil colour has been applied with palette knife, then scraped back in vigorous repeated gestures. A series of rose and violet turpentine washes has been applied to create a jumbled, yet tranquil haze.

A patchwork of fiery colours have been painted with palette knife to create this sweeping abstract scene."Wild Sundials" is an abstract odyssey, a canvas where the soulful essence of Lupinus Perennis unfolds in amorphous shapes and hues. A whale shark swims gracefully through a world of kaleidoscopic bubbles. Layers of yellow watery paint has been layered and left to the elements creating a magical abstract landscape.
