The painting 'Fjord Trawler Heading Out' was based on photographs taken in the western Fjords of Norway early in January 2018. These images were the basis of the composition with the final painting done in oils on canvas. The land is frozen and there is quiet perseverance of the trawler slowly making its way out to sea. The mountains are like silent sentinels.
