One minute, calm, blue skies, then a tickle of wind is felt…. and far off into the distance, a red glow appears. Before you know it, you are engulfed by a huge wall of dust that knows no way but forward! To most Australians and people from other countries, The Outback of Australia is only seen in books or on the TV or Internet. It’s a hard, rugged place that can be very unpredictable! So, I have painted ‘Engulfing Winds’ for those who will never get to see what the Australian Outback can do.
