This was an exercise in black. It is an homage to the writers, actors and all the creative geniuses of Buffy. I especially wanted to explore the concept of Spike and the idea of the vampire. So, this was also an excise in identity. The vampire as mass murderer, anti hero, brooding, isolated and living dead. I wanted Spike to emerge from the darkness, but also be a part of it. That flaming red hair I've always seen as part of his specific punk rock Billy Idol montage. I included the poetry and the signature as part of the journey that Spike has ventured from William to one of two vampires with a soul. I hope you enjoy.
