Artwork Description

Mixed Media on canvas, stretched and ready to hang.

Signed on the front.

This series of works reference of the demise of a the Thylacine to illustrate the result our collective lack of comprehension of our worlds natural order.
Despite being a Terra Australis Incognita apex predator the thylacine disappeared from the great south lands in an incredibly short time after 'the arrivals'.
I have used a photocopy of an image that depicts the last known live animal that was taken at the Hobart Zoo in 1936. Over time the photocopy will slowly fade just as it's subject did.
