Artwork Description

Is there anything more bewitching than the capacity of the Australian bush to recover after fire? This smoky study is all about regeneration- a positive take on fire's destruction, and an acknowledgement of nature's resilience. In painting it, I just kept adding layer after layer until I had a complexity of mark making that echoes the monumental matrix of Mother Nature.
