Artwork Description

Russian composer Modest Mussorgsky composed his best known work "Pictures at an Exhibition" in response to an 1894 art exhibition. This painting is my response to that idea, and to the recurring movement "Promenade" within the composition. Mussorgsky himself gazes out from an ornate frame as he is perused by the visiting public, promenading past.
