Description

An acrylic painting using pallet knives and lots of texture depicting a red tailed black cockatoo native to Australia. This beautiful bird used to be believed to indicate that rains were coming if they were seen, or that significant change was about to occur. They are loud and noisy and usually travel in groups. Their beautiful plumage is striking and the blue black on their heads, and in their crest and on their neck has to be seen to be appreciated. This painting has a background of eucalyptus forest indicated by a beautiful blend of the colours of paper bark trees. Loads of bark like texture and crackling as well as blends. Painted on stretched canvas, sides also painted, and comes ready to hang. A black wooden frame is attractive border and is shown in Room View photograph.
