Inspired by a photo reference from one of my many visits to coastal Victoria. The rumble of a looming storm across the lake with the mist shielded clouds, still lit with the last drops of golden sunlight provides a mystical scene that begged to be painted. The cloud formation is the hero here, partially obscured by multiple thin layers, using a resin based medium to blend and glaze at the same time. This provides a luminous quality, particularly great for landscapes and cloudscapes.
