This minimalist abstract painting is inspired by the view from above. Cooling blues and green swirl water like around the circle, which is enhanced with pops of purple and gold. What do you see? The earth from above? A rock pool, a polished stone? I have used a variety of my usual techniques such as washes, sgraffito, where texture is scratched into the colours. I've also used slight stenciling to represent the flora on our planet and this is all encased in white, which is a beautiful contrast to the colours within the circle. The edges are also white for a seamless look. It is varnished and comes with a bluethumb certificate of authenticity and is ready to hang. 20x20 inch or 50x50cm. Signed on the front.
