Engulfed is painted in acrylics with my fingers, no brushes on canvas. The barrel of the wave was done using an acrylic pour and swipe technique to capture the colours, bubbles and foam of the wave. I could only imagine how it would feel to be in this situation, the smell, the colours, the roar of the wave, beautiful, captivating and terrifying at the same time. Some would say what a thrill.
