Acrylic scratch technique for the nest, fine brush work for the little bird. Fascinated by the ingenious building skills of birds, I have always loved the intricacies of bird nests and how they perch precariously in a tree. I have used a scratch technique to try to recreate the complex nature of the nest. Using a very fine brush I created the tiny bird peeking out of the safety of her nest.
