A study in blue; a depiction of the power of the vast, violent sea against a rugged, silhouetted coastline. The churning water is a knotted carpet of layers of yarn, sea spray fluffing-out in mohair.

The answer the Lake Art Prize prompt, "Where there is water...", there is power. The wealth and architecture of coastal, clifftop Sydney mansions are mere specks of insignificance when compared to the vast oceans beyond our shores. Yet the people in these mansions could possibly have the power and influence to determine who has access to this water, how to maintain it for future generations, and even control it through irrigation and land reclamation.
