Artwork Description

Acrylic on canvas, stretched and ready to hang.

Signed on the front.

This painting is one of larger body of work which is about ideas of abstraction and figuration, it is an exploration of physicality of paint and the act of ‘doing’. My painting process is the one that embraces accident and ambiguity. I want my paintings to describe a feeling, evoke a response or excite the viewer’s imagination.
I reference found images from textbooks, magazines and the internet as a base to capture fleeting moments encountered in everyday life. I want my paintings to be a vehicle to reflect upon what it is to be human; seeking connections, testing resilience, acknowledging frailties.
