Morning Mountain Wildflower is a deeply personal reflection on the long path to the creation of my first formal series, which ran parallel to my work as a conservationist.
Expressionist abstract paintings were an appropriate method to create something tangible from this period in time. These abstract landscapes are driven by emotion rather than realistic representation.
This work is deeply inspired by indigenous women artists of Australia and their sacred art created for milennea.
Some proceeds from the sale of work will fund a website for the Yengo Gallery Wollombi. The Yengo Gallery supports aboriginal art and culture in the Lower Hunter Region of Wollombi NSW.
