It may not show in my work, but one thing always leads to another. There are always threads that I follow. Often its a tiny little corner of the painting that I like, so I decide to take that idea further. This artwork is a progression of ideas. Pattern is always central to my work, and this piece explores mark making, strong composition and colour play. I wanted to explore the tonal ranges of each shape with complimentary colours of light and dark, using more muted tones of dusty pink, gold, and various shades of green..
