Painting birds is a bit of chuckle therapy for me really. It's a chance to 'lighten up' and see joy and happiness in every brushstroke. I look for photographs that I have taken capturing the birds spirit and personality, or I seek out imagery that speaks to me, I look for the cheeky character and then attempt to capture it on my canvas. I see something cheeky and a little mischievous in these two!
