Artwork Description

Bam! Its Vinnie the Cockatoo!! Why is he called Vinnie? I hear you ask; whilst painting his feathers, I was reminded of Vincent Van Gogh's starry night painting. The colours in his feathers are of the same palette - moody blues, pinks, greys and lemon yellows. 'Vinnie' is my latest in a series of large scale bird portraiture. He was created in April 2017, as with all my paintings, I'm not interested in photographic realness, I aim to express emotion, and create a bond with the viewer. I love my paintings to a personality and soul. Buying an original painting is a bit like an adoption- the artist loves the piece, but knows it needs to go to a good home. It is with hope, it will find an owner to love it just as much x

Its on gallery quality stretched canvas and is archival. I do create custom commissions - all you need to do is send me a message. You can find behind the scenes studio sneak peeks on my instagram feed #artistemmaward
