This painting is inspired by the Snappy Gums Eucalyptus Leccophloia that grow in the Pilbara region of Western Australia. This Snappy Gum is at the top of one of the pretties gorges Hamersley. Hamersley Gorge is filled with different pink rock and is a geological marvel. It is one of my very favourite gorges. I love the patterns and textures found down in this gorge it is a delight to the eyes. The gorges at Karijini are billions of years old and are nothing short of spectacular. This painting is round edged with Atelier gold.
