When we were kids growing up in the Pilbara town of Tom Price we would play in the gorges until almost nightfall. This painting depicts the dwindling light as we played around this tree. We would climb the tree, lay on the tree and when we were hot during the day we would dive off the tree that overhung the into the cool water. Imagination could run wild amongst the serene colours and geometric rocks. We would swim over to the banded ironstone and climb around pretending we were in an ancient cityscape. If you wish to wonder through your imagination in a restful scene this painting is for you,
