Artwork Description

Drawing on paper

Signed on the front.

This is my 2nd flower artwork. For this one, I chose a tropical flower that was growing in our apartment complex. The flower is an Awapuhi-UlaUla or Hawaiian Red Ginger.

I normally only use Copic markers to create my works, but for this one, I did not have the right colours to really do it justice. I therefore also used some coloured pencils as well. I also chose to not outline the flower in black, as I wanted to make it as photo-real as possible.

I really love how the petals of the flower seem to glow. This is the reason I decided to title it "Neon". The reference photo was taken by my partner who is a photographer.

The dimensions are for the drawing, there is also a white border for framing. In the styled scene it is shown framed. Please note that it will be sold unframed. The scale in the scene is not 100% accurate, but it is pretty close.

My signature is on the stem in the bottom right corner, as shown in the close-up photo.
