Dad loves growing native plants in his garden, and when I was growing up, all sorts of trees which quickly outgrew our yard. I have wonderful childhood memories of walking through his garden which also included a huge bird aviary and a few fish ponds, all shaded by gum trees and tree-ferns.
This is a striking painting featuring a gorgeous greeny blue light-dappled background, with grey eucalyptus leaves in organic shapes and composition, and beautiful iridescent red blooms.
It would look great framed, however this is not absolutely necessary as the painting is ready to hang, right out of the box. The edges of the canvas have been painted as “wrap around” which means that if it is hung in a hallway, you will start to see the scene emerge as you approach the art.
The canvas itself is very high quality, with strong stretcher bars, and the cotton canvas is triple primed and quite thick at 380gsm. I only invest in top quality gallery-standard canvases for my art.
I have used artist quality acrylic colour for this painting, in numerous layers using dry-brushing and other techniques followed by fine lines and details. I have included some 'In situ' photos, which help us imagine art in our home. Feel free to reach out with pictures of your own space and I can virtually hang the painting for you. In situ photos provided here were created using various apps and may not be perfectly to scale. Photos depicting framed art are for illustrative purposes for your interest and consideration.
I hope you love my painting and will consider hanging this lovely scene on your wall.
Best,
Eve x
