THE INSPIRATION
I have enjoyed seeking beauty in my garden during my morning coffee lately, and my banksia tree is making me smile with its quaint and soft feathery flowers. I do love my garden and the muted tones of the Australian native flowers and gum leaves.

ABOUT THE ARTWORK
The colours used have been mixed to produce olive greens, soft pale blue, turquoise and aqua, along with apricot and soft lemon for the flowers. The paint is thick in areas where I have applied colour with a palette knife and fingertips.

The natural weave of the linen created by the negative space in the painting forms part of the overall look. Oil paint has a satin finish and the linen has been sealed in a transparent sealer so there is no further protection required. The painting is professionally framed in solid hardwood.

ABOUT ME
Born into a family of musicians, authors, actors, photographers and painters, it was natural that life lead me here, poised at the canvas, brush in hand. I live entirely off-grid at my bushland home in rural Victoria with hubby, dogs and a gorgeously prolific vegetable garden.

I use art to express my immense – well, let's say obsessive – passion for the indigenous landscape, which is easily recognised in my vibrant colourful artworks. Luscious layers of pigment are applied with energy and spontaneity, often switching from brush to palette knife to provide additional texture and depth to my paintings.

PACKAGING
My paintings are treated with the greatest care throughout their life in my studio and home, or at exhibitions where they may temporarily hang. I am extremely careful to ensure your art does not suffer scuff marks, dents or scratches; and it will be carefully wrapped in bubble-wrap and sturdy cardboard. Gift wrapping is available on request.

DELIVERY
Delivery is via Australia Post - Express Post, and insurance is included.
