Oil on pure linen

Muted blues and bright reds feature in this oil painting of gum leaves, native flowers... and even a bee. Pure linen is the perfect backdrop for this scene, and it is made even more beautiful by the gorgeous Tassie oak frame (made locally in Melbourne). If you want harmonious, soft colour and gorgeous luscious texture on your wall to brighten and beautify your home, then this is the painting for you.
The background is left unpainted, so the natural linen fibers show through which complements the blues and reds wonderfully. The linen has been sealed in transparent gesso for protection.
As an artist, I draw inspiration from nature, the seasons, the indigenous landscape, and from Australian artists such as Streeton, McCubbin, Whiteley, Gleeson and the marvelous Russian master Marc Chagall. There are also so many upcoming and emerging Australian artists which continue to inspire me daily. I am a prolific artist artist working full time from my studio in central Victoria, with much of my art being held in private collections around Australia, as well as exhibiting in local galleries and at the Victorian Artists Society in Melbourne.
All of my paintings are packed with the greatest care.
