Walking through my garden, I realised our iceberg grevillea trees are really never out of bloom. As soon as a flower starts to wilt, another is ready to take its place; it really is spectacular and gives us a flourish of colour all year round.

ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Pale greens, blues and turquoise complement apricot and pink in this pleasant eye-catching combination of colour. The natural weave of the linen created by the negative space in the painting forms part of the overall look. Oil paint has a satin finish and the linen has been sealed in a transparent sealer so there is no further protection required. "Native Bouquet" is framed in solid hardwood.

• Gallery standard pure linen, which has been primed/sealed with transparent primer, stretched and double-stapled over stretcher bars.

ABOUT THE ARTIST
Born into a family of musicians, authors, actors, photographers and painters, it was natural that life lead me here, poised at the canvas, brush in hand. I live entirely off-grid at my bushland home in rural Victoria with hubby, dogs and a gorgeously prolific vegetable garden.

I use art to express my immense – well, let's say obsessive – passion for the indigenous landscape, which is easily recognised in my vibrant colourful artworks. Luscious layers of pigment are applied with energy and spontaneity, often switching from brush to palette knife to provide additional texture and depth to my paintings.
