THE INSPIRATION
A small painting in super bright, almost iridescent blue, depicting the harsh beauty of our native flora. Gum leaves, gum nuts, and eucalyptus blossoms feature here in a familiar composition.
Living in central Victoria allows me to take in the beauty of this rugged and much-loved landscape.

ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This painting was mostly created with many layers of paint using a palette knife so the texture is luscious and thick, particularly on the leaves themselves. The natural weave of the linen created by the negative space in the painting forms part of the overall look.

FRAMING OPTIONS
This painting comes framed but I can remove frame if you prefer. The price will reduce by $100.

ABOUT THE ARTIST
Born into a family of musicians, authors, actors, photographers and painters, it was natural that life lead me here, poised at the canvas, brush in hand. I live entirely off-grid at my bushland home in rural Victoria with hubby, dogs and a gorgeously prolific vegetable garden.

I use art to express my immense - well, let's say obsessive - passion for the Australian landscape, which is easily recognised in my vibrant colourful and sensitive artworks. Luscious layers of pigment are applied with energy and spontaneity, often switching from brush to palette knife to provide additional texture and depth to my paintings.

PACKAGING
My paintings are treated with the greatest care throughout their life in my studio and home, or at exhibitions where they may temporarily hang. I am extremely careful to ensure your art does not suffer scuff marks, dents or scratches; and it will be carefully wrapped in bubble-wrap and sturdy cardboard. Gift wrapping is available on request.

DELIVERY
Delivery is via Australia Post - Express Post, and insurance is included.
