THE INSPIRATION
My art explores the colour and form of Australian gum trees , as I attempt to capture both the frailty and the strength of these gentle giants.

Impending winter gloom couldn’t stifle the brilliance of colour radiating from the small gum tree growing outside my studio. This is one of a series of paintings and diptychs, focussing on complementary colours (in this painting, orange vs green and purple vs mustard).

ABOUT THE ARTIST
Born into a family of musicians, authors, actors, photographers and painters, it was natural that life lead me here, poised at the canvas, brush in hand. I live entirely off-grid at my bushland home in rural Victoria with hubby, dogs and a gorgeously prolific vegetable garden.

I use art to express my immense - well, let's say obsessive - passion for the indigenous landscape, which is easily recognised in my vibrant colourful and sensitive artworks. Luscious layers of pigment are applied with energy and spontaneity, often switching from brush to palette knife to provide additional texture and depth to my paintings.

FRAMING
It would look great framed, however this is not necessary as the painting is stretched over an internal frame, and is therefore ready to hang.

PACKAGING
My paintings are treated with the greatest care throughout their life in my studio and home, or at exhibitions where they may temporarily hang. I am extremely careful to ensure your art does not suffer scuff marks, dents or scratches; and it will be carefully wrapped in bubble-wrap and sturdy cardboard.

DELIVERY
Delivery is via Australia Post, and insurance is included.

The edges are painted dark dusty purple and may be changed at the time of purchase by request for no additional cost. The painting has been varnished in a satin finish. There are felt pads in the back corners to protect your wall. You can frame the art if you wish, but this is not required, as the painting is stretched over an internal frame and therefore ready to hang, right out of the box.
