Acrylic Paint on canvas, stretched and ready to hang.
Signed with a certificate of authenticity.
This is my impression of a 19th Century Australian town, with farms, school, church, pub and other buildings, together with all the people, children and animals you might have found there. I love history, particularly in this era, whether in the US or here in Australia, and the research is fascinating in itself.
I spent a lot of time on this "busy" painting, of course, suffering from an inability to say "enough" with the detail, until I finally convinced myself there was nothing else to say and put my brush down. Even now, with the painting on the easel beside me, I could easily add just a few more birds, another dog or two, but that's me, compulsive.
I hope you enjoy my latest work. I know it was absolute joy to paint...I even have little stories that go with the characters! Perhaps it should be part of a children's book. (After all, I'm also a writer.)
This painting continues around the sides so that no frame is necessary. Sealed with at least two coats of acrylic varnish for protection and color enhancement. Signed back and front. Certificate of Authenticity from EBSQ Art.
