Artwork Description

Hand printed lino-cuts on Fabriano Rosapina paper, first edition. This series of lino-cuts allowed me to continue creative exploration of ideas developed in small sketchbook studies. Originally in pastel and in colour, developing these little drawings into graphic images forced me to focus on line and simplified form in black and white. Things changed in translation from drawing to tracing, to transfer, to the carving of the lino, to the printing process itself. Together these linos tell a story about relationships and the multifaceted nature of character.
Sold mounted on foam core (42x30x0.5cm), wrapped with acetate, posted in padded envelope with protective card insert.

Sheet size: 35x25cm, image size: 15x15cm

Note: these are hand-printed so individual printing variations are expected and a feature of this work.
