For many years living in Sydneywe have been able to enjoy watching the NYE Fireworks from a boat moored in Farm Cove, next to the Opera House.
It usually meant anchoring early in the morning and waiting all day for the fireworks.
Farm Cove and Mrs Macquarie Chair have a fireworks barge moored just off the point, and allows views to the opera house and Bridge and the fireworks further up the harbour can be seen over the top of the opera house. This painting is looking north to the closest barge.
