Originally from the north of England, I studied art and art history at Angelia Ruskin University, Cambridge.

In 1995 I travelled from the grey skies of the UK to beautiful Sydney, where my art took on it's own personality. I always relate to Van Gogh who was born in the Netherlands where he painted dark works, but as soon as he travelled to the south of France where the sun shone intensely, his paintings became a live, colourful and vibrant.

Throughout my life, I have always painted, and have sold many paintings online but I have never exhibited. I have also been commissioned too.

My day job is working for the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, but in my leisure time, I love to paint in my small harbour side apartment, looking out at the water and listening to podcasts of BBC Radio 4's - 'Desert Island Discs'.

My paintings take a long time to paint, about 2 weeks of intensive work. I love to paint in oils, so I can achieve the intense colour, which I build up in layers.
