The inspiration for this painting comes from childhood memories of my uncle, who lived in Sัte on the Mediterranean coast of France. He was a keen fisherman. The painting depicts the interior of an old wall cabinet containing souvenirs, namely fishing lure, old books about fishing, an oil lantern, a large shell and postcards. The feeling is one of nostalgia for a bygone era.
