At a time of my life where I've journeyed through dark and difficult times it is the heart that keeps hope that surely 'this too, shall pass'. But sometimes the hope is worn thin when the difficult times winds on endlessly for many years. The heart desperately wants to hope that :

'The winter is past
The rain is over and gone
The flowers appear on the earth
the time of the song is come..'
