This painting is an abstract view of the outback of Western Australia where sandwiched in between the beautiful red-orange colour of the earth and the stunning endless blue skies are rivers of gold. The gold is not only the mineral that is hauled from the ground, but also the stations that run cattle, which is the graziers gold. Unfortunately the beautiful country can also be tarnish the gold of the graziers when in drought. So sometimes the rivers of gold aren't so bright, more tarnished. The land of contrasts
