Staying closer to home during isolation has renewed my appreciation of where I live. Places I often take for granted, especially green open spaces have caught my attention, especially during this time when it easy to feel claustrophobic at home. I took a walk through Catani Gardens last week, it was quiet and the light was magnificent. Typical Melbourne, it changed a lot in the short time I was there. I chose to paint the scene over 3 canvases to emphasise the space, with the intention that they can be hung alone or as a triptych.
Each painting is 51 cm wide and 41 cm deep.
