I like to capture images from everyday contemporary life in my work. I was recently in a cafe having lunch with my husband and I decided to order a cocktail. It arrived in this ridiculously over the top pineapple cup and I knew I had to paint it. I’m inspired by the work of Wayne Tiebaud in this painting, I admire the way he uses multi colours for outlines and paints everyday objects.
