This is one of five paintings I produced after a weekend away in Melbourne city with my daughter Sarah. We were walking through the shops in the Laneways near Flinders Street Station and this gorgeous orange moped caught my eye. I was able to grab a photo of my daughter before she protested and spent a few minutes sketching the scooter while my daughter walked on. It’s always slightly awkward having people watch you sketch but undeterred I was able to sketch the two woman watching me. My art is all about capturing a moment in time.
