Mixed Media on paper
Signed on the front.
This elegant building is in the Nth. Qld. town of Charters Towers [ sometimes called Charlie's Trousers ] It is in the main street but this view is looking at the back of the building, which gives another interesting aspect. The view from the front is more than worthwhile , and I have drawn from there also.
Charters Towers was an important gold mining town and as a result lovely structures like this post office were built. At one stage, there were ninety pubs / hotels catering to the miners and others who were seeking their fortune. Many hotels remain, and are worthy subjects for artists.
