I found this beautiful jug in an antique shop in country Victoria. At the time I was visiting family, and had been playing soccer with my two small granddaughters. It's a dangerous past - time and consequently I broke my right collar bone [ painting arm ]. Soon afterwards, it was time for me to return to Brisbane by plane. So, there I was, arm in a sling, and nursing my precious jug as best I could. What we do for our art !!
I was so keen to get a painting underway with the jug included, that I managed to rough out the whole thing using my left hand. In fact I now do a number of things using my left hand which I'd not done before. eg. cleaning my teeth.
The large bunch of flowers were first positioned, and then all other items gradually included, until I was happy with the overall arrangement. This would probably have taken me all morning to set up - sometimes much longer.
I think this Good Shepherd painting would grace almost any wall.
