Nature has always been an endless source of my inspiration – especially when it comes to colour. With Australian nature taking an important part of it. This painting was inspired by a photo by Gabski. From the moment I saw it for the first time I knew I would paint it. It took about a year to finalise my idea and there it is Eucalyptus Corymbia Eximia (commonly known as Bloodwood) on my painting “In The Morning Light”.
I tried to depict the beautiful shades of green – with undertones of silver, grey, and blue in eucalyptus leaves. Calming greens and greys interwind with optimistic yellow and spontaneous strokes of white. And - above all - this painting is once again about crazy cute eucalyptus with so much enthusiasm in such a little flower.
