CIW2 (Carnival in Winter 2) is my second Carnival in Winter. I've had a lot of interest in this piece, and requests to reproduce it. That is, of course, no problem as I love the vibrancy of this particular style and colour combination.
The artwork features artist quality Atelier interactive paints, which have been applied in various layers. The layers themselves are blended in the background and then applied more thickly over the top. This gives the artwork a defined texture, which certainly grabs attention. The use of so many bright colours means the artwork can be situated in any location, without fear of not matching the decor.
CIW2 has been painted on the highest quality hand made custom canvas. The canvas itself is 12oz double primed cotton canvas stretched onto 200cm x 90cm Victorian ash timber stretchers. The frame features H braces for additional strength.
It has been finished with several layers of gloss varnish, as painted sides, and has been signed on the front.
