Hinto is a well structured abstract expressionist painting that uses wet on wet acrylic paint on top of a coloured base. The effect is that the layers on top interact with each other to create an interesting relationship.
I’ve used predominantly rich earthy colours, but also used hints of blue. Black and white have been used to add space and tone.
I really enjoy this style and method, though it is always extremely difficult to get the balance, and the structure and level of detail just right. I've gone too far with other canvases and ended up with something that is overworked and uncontrolled. With Hinto though the result is well balanced and impressive to view.
This piece can be hung in landscape or portrait mode. I love both orientations with this painting. You can choose which way you prefer and I will sing accordingly.

This painting is 120cm x 60xm. I have painted the sides to match the painting, so you won’t need to frame it. It has been finished off with several coats of gloss varnish. It is ready to hang.
